Terms of service

Last updated: 17 October 2026

These terms govern the use of m3i.app (the "service"), published by Karako Systems (see the Legal notice). By creating an account, by signing in with Google or Apple, or by posting on an event page, you accept them.

1. The service

m3i is a digital guest book. An organiser creates an event and shares its link, its QR code or its code; guests then leave messages, answers and photos that the organiser keeps.

2. Accounts

  • An account is needed to create and manage events. Guests can post with a first name only.
  • You must be of age, that is at least 18 years old, the age of majority in Haiti, to use the service, whether you open an account or post as a guest.
  • You keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us at once if you think someone else used your account.
  • You may delete your account at any time from My account > My data. It is deactivated at once and erased after 30 days; signing in again during that time cancels the deletion.

3. Organisers

The organiser chooses who receives the event's link and code, reads and moderates what guests post, and may hide or delete any entry. The organiser is responsible for telling guests how their messages and photos will be used, for example in a slideshow shown during the event.

4. What you post

  • You keep all rights to your messages and photos.
  • You grant Karako Systems a non-exclusive, free, worldwide licence to store, reproduce and display them, only to run the service for the event you posted to (the guest book, the wall, the slideshow, the exports the organiser downloads). This licence ends when the content or the event is deleted, except for copies the organiser already exported.
  • You only post what you have the right to post. You do not post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, violent, sexual, that infringes someone's rights, or that shows a person who would object to it.
  • We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and report illegal content to the authorities.

5. Plans and payment

Some features are part of paid plans, shown on the pricing section of the home page. A plan is paid once, for one event; there is no subscription. Prices are shown in US dollars before tax and paid in gourdes, at the rate shown at checkout: the checkout adds the tax and the payment provider's fee, line by line, before you pay, and an invoice is issued for every payment.

Refunds. You can ask for a refund until the day before your event, by writing to [email protected] with your invoice number. We refund the amount paid through the same means, and the event goes back to the plan it had before the purchase. From the day of the event, no refund is possible, whether or not the features were used. A payment that never went through is cancelled automatically and nothing is charged.

6. Availability

We do our best to keep the service available and your content safe, but we cannot guarantee that it will never be interrupted. We recommend that organisers export their guest book once the event is over.

7. Liability

The service is provided as is. Karako Systems is not liable for content posted by users, nor for indirect damage. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page changes with each version, and we tell account holders by email before a substantial change applies.

9. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Haiti. Before any legal action, write to us at [email protected] so we can look for an amicable solution. Failing that, the courts of Port-au-Prince have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rule that protects consumers where they live.
